Psychological studies have shown that when a character is traveling right to left, it makes the viewer uncomfortable, while movement from left to right is seen as natural and visually pleasing. We humans are a species of pattern and balance, so many film composition rules are designed to create pleasing, balanced images, and going from left to right is another way. Even Nintendo recognized this in Super Mario.
In movies, the bad guys enter screens from the right to left and the good guys from the left to right.
Reverse type that is scripted or italicized can be problematic sometimes. Perhaps just loosening it up between letters. Overall kerning of the line so it has better character recognition.
